We will continue to develop links with the NERC's Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH), particularly the centres at Edinburgh, Lancaster and Wallingford. Joint workshops have been held with CEH soil scientists, who have contributed to the development of SSF objectives and Work Packages. Further discussions with leaders of soils research in CEH in late 2007 will further align CEH and SSF research. There are also strong links and some collaborative research with the British Geological Survey.
